Who are we?

Cornerstone Ballet is the first of its kind to UNITE dancers, actors, musicians, and stage-crafters from various training programs for discipleship, hands-on development and the ministry of purposeful performances!

*Open (by audition) to dancers from all studios, all cities, all backgrounds. Enrollment & attendance at your training studio will be verified for all dancers.

Annual Calendar (specific dates are provided to company members): Training begins- September; Christmas Performance (TBD)- December; Local Outreach- Jan/Feb; Spring Performance (TBD)- April; Additional Performance- June; Summer Missions Trip & Intensive-July/Aug

FOR DANCERS:

Our trainee program offers dancers from ages 12-15, and 16-21 training opportunities by audition. Trainee levels range from apprentice to company member, each level requiring a greater level of commitment and technical skill. Intern positions within the company are also available to offset dues.

Apprentice (approx. age 12+): takes at least 2+ hours of ballet per week in addition to company classes, attends all company classes & predetermined rehearsals, corps & understudy opportunities, assists in costume changes/stage tech/set at performances  

Trainee (approx. age 14+): takes at least 3+ hours of ballet per week in addition to company classes,  TA opportunities, attends all company classes & rehearsals, corps & understudy opportunities, assists in costume changes/stage tech/set at performances, may have opportunities to travel with company,

Company (approx. age 16+): takes at least 4+ hours of ballet per week in addition to company classes,  TA and/or instructor opportunities available,  studio use available, attends all company classes & rehearsals, performs locally & abroad, lead after-show missions projects:  workshops/camps, leads devotions/discussions/testimonies, etc.  

Dues: $100-200/mo

FOR ACTORS/MUSICIANS & ARTISTS/CRAFTERS:

Guest Artists/Crafters: attends weekly (flexible but scheduled) rehearsals and construction-time, costuming-time, etc. Crafters are provided tools/materials for designing set pieces, props, and costumes. Crafters & artists are encouraged to attend the open ballet class & worship nights. Committment: Monday evenings, 3-6 months, 1-3 hrs wk

Guest Performers: volunteer artists & community members (adults-children) attending audition for a specific production & attends weekly (scheduled) rehearsals, Guest performers are encouraged to attend the open ballet class & worship nights. Dues: per role costuming rental/cleaning/alteration fee Committment: Monday evenings, 4-6 months, 2-3 hrs wk

Contracted Artists: contracted professional artists hired to fill assigned roles or develop assigned choreography/music/etc. Committment: varies
