What separates you from other dance academies and studios?
We are a full-service studio offering faith-based dance education. Our mission is to redeem the art and discipline of dance as a form of both self-expression and entertainment that is uplifting, empowering, and wholesome. In striving to build a positive atmosphere, we prohibit cut-throat competitions and provocative performances.
What do I need to do to get my child started in dance?

Create a Parent Portal account online at AllongeDanceAcademy.com under “Save Your Space.”
*Remember to add your dancer to your account.

Choose what classes your dancer wants to take and register.
*Registration is not complete until a credit card is on file for your monthly tuition auto-draft in your secured Parent Portal account.
3.
Sign a paper registration agreement (emailed to you upon enrollment) and return it to our front desk.
*Your enrollment is not complete until this form is received.
How much does it cost to start with dance?
There is an annual registration fee per family of $30.
**This fee is waived if your dancer re-enrolls during our “Current Dancer Only” re-enrollment period each summer. The monthly tuition depends on the number of classes your dancer(s) are enrolled in.
What will my child need for dance?
Each class has its own color-coded dress code representing the skill/achievement level of that class. For your convenience, we carry our dress code items in our Studio Dancewear Boutique. To schedule a private fitting, please call, email, or reserve your fitting time in your parent portal account under “Book Private Lesson”>”Dress Code Fitting.”
Can I watch my child dance in their class?
We find that children thrive when given a private and safe environment to explore, make mistakes, and learn without an audience. We do offer scheduled Parent Observation weeks throughout the year. You’ll find these in our Yearly Dance Calendar in your Parent Portal upon enrolling.
Is there a show at the end of the year and what does it cost?
Each year there is a Spring Performance. Each dancer must pay one performance fee of $100 due in November. Costumes are $75 per class, due in January. We also offer a faith-based Christmas Ballet each year for which dancers (ages 7+) are encouraged to audition if they’d like to participate (additional costume fees apply). Occasionally, there are additional performance opportunities and mini-shows available to our dancers. These are optional and require additional costume fees/rentals.
Why do I have to pay so early for the performance if it isn’t until June?
Our studio proudly uses all local vendors for our performances and must reserve our dates with them early! Costumes have always been high quality at Allonge’ and are ordered based on your dancer’s measurements, but occasionally require alterations (which we include). In order to continue to receive costumes of the quality and the supply that we require, we must order very early to guarantee that we can get them in time for the show with time for any needed alterations.
Does my dancer have to be in the performance?
Dancers who participate in our Performance Program are in an agreement to fulfill the full dance year through June. Dancers are expected to perform and choreography is created based on these numbers. If your dancer prefers to just take technique class without performing, we recommend our Recreational Program as performance fees are charged automatically in our Performance Program (per our agreement) and are nonrefundable.
If my child misses a class, how do they make it up?
Your dancer may attend a similar class or one of the same age range as a makeup class up to 4 weeks after their absence. Please schedule your makeup class with the front desk manager.
What about dancing for boys?
We seek to counter the current dance culture in America. This happens by reviving quality classical dance training and inspiring young dancers to find joy in the discipline of classical ballet. For boys, we believe dance training is synonymous (not contrary to) their God-given masculinity as it develops strength, agility, and self-discipline.
What skill levels are needed for my child?
We offer a variety of styles for all ages, interests, and levels of experience (age 3-adults, recreational/beginner-pre-professional). We require all 3-year olds to be potty-trained before beginning our fundamentals program. As your child progresses through the levels of our Fundamentals and Performance Track Programs, you'll find our curriculum is logically paced to encourage proper technique and dancer health while challenging strength, stamina, flexibility, and coordination.
In what other ways will dancing help my child?
We provide experiences for your child that translate into lifetime lessons. From problem-solving, peer review, and teamwork within the classroom to positive messaging and life-touching performances out in the community, our goal is to help your child grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually while impacting the world around them.
What are your qualifications as instructors?
We are certified teachers (most of us are degreed educators) and offer the American Ballet Theater National Training Curriculum. Our professional instructors provide the area’s best dance education.
